Sleep and rest are essential so that you can keep showing up as your best teacher self for your pupils.

Rest is not idle, not wasteful. Sometimes rest is the most productive thing you can do.

Remember, the day can only hold so much and the work will still be there tomorrow!


Final thoughts…

Some stress inevitably comes with the territory but one way to help prioritise your own well-being when you feel a million other things are more important, is to see it as an opportunity to actively discuss the why and the how of well-being with your students. If they can understand and respect your boundaries and strategies, they will learn to craft their own.
