Bouncy Balls

I know exactly what you are thinking. ‘Those things? But they’re such a distraction!’

Hear me out!

I present to you, virtual Bouncy Balls. https://bouncyballs.org/

For this website, your laptop or computer microphone will need to be on as the children work. (You may be asked to allow the site access to the microphone when you first visit it – allow it).

The aim is for the bouncy balls (or other objects it offers) to bounce as little as possible as the children work. If the bouncy balls start going crazy on the screen, the noise level is too high. You can adjust the ‘sensitivity’ at the top right to set if for your classroom environment or your currently acceptable level.

This resource is quite visual and lots of children love to see how they can manage the noise themselves without a huge input from me.
