October 1, 2025 @ 8:00 am - November 1, 2025 @ 5:00 pm

Black History Month is a time to recognize the many achievements of Black people and to reflect on the prejudices they have faced. The month originated in the United States in the 1920s when Carter G. Woodson, a Black American historian, established a week in February to celebrate Black contributions. The event grew in popularity and became a month-long celebration in 1970.
